METHOD
Change is a word people throw around easily. In practice, embodied change usually requires experiences that break with the everyday.
Enter a three-system cultural interface:
-
PICTURESQ system (cultural interface)
-
SIMULATEDQ system (cultural interface)
-
SCREEN: Q(RATED) system (cultural interface)
These two systems operate as parallel pictures and post-conceptual art languages and as cultural readymades—existing structures drawn from circulation and re-situated as tools for profiling. Neither system dominates; meaning emerges through their interplay. Each offers a different way of structuring experience in a way that our first language often fails to do.
PICTURESQ begins with image—circulation, framing, and repetition as cultural logic. SIMULATEDQ extends to the intergalactic object, interpreting space —alignments, cycles, observable relations—as cultural signs. SCREEN: Q(RATED) is then deployed to mobilise the narrative—plot, character, situation—as shared scripts through which experience is staged and understood.
The Life Profile translates across these systems. Patterns, tensions, and possibilities are not explained but staged—moving between image and galaxy. while Film, television, and games anchor this process, giving situations dramatic form that can be recognised, tested, and reworked.
Profiling harnesses story—yours, mine, ours—to produce an intellectually alive, edge-aware therapeutic context in which the individual is read within the culture they inhabit.
Culture is not innocent. It conditions desire, limits expectation, and normalises compromise. Yet the right strategy can cut through even highly unfair situations.
The work returns to the self—but not as isolated psychology. Many frustrations originate in inherited cultural templates of femininity and masculinity that no longer hold under contemporary conditions.
In difficult periods, without adequate models for changing roles, people are pushed back toward old binaries and inherited scripts. Yikes.
The aim of the Life Profile is cultural intelligence: a sharper reading of gender, race, sexuality, age, and social context, alongside the development of fuller personal, professional, and creative lives.
It is a process of recovery, restart, regrouping, and forward movement—of recognising possibilities that were previously unavailable or unseen.
Trauma is not romanticised. But it can become a working zone: where difficult material is integrated with enough clarity for something old to fall away—and a more powerful future to begin.

REFERENCE
You’re effective in that you shift the way I might be looking at something, and I love that it’s a critical dialogue. You offer multiple viewing points, and I feel we share a knowing. And I love the pop culture element. You weave in what’s going on around us, in the world. The social element and historical stuff as well. You might talk about a film, like Paris Texas, and then bring in a pithy point about Amber Heard and Jane's pink sweater, and then I will bring in something about narcissism or reactive abuse, then relate it all to my situation. You have such diversity of knowledge. I liked this last session when we looked at Jupiter Sun, then it’s straight into this rich tapestry of references.

THE WAY IT WORKS
The structure operates across the two systems:
-
What’s happening in the sky?
For example, Venus conjunct Jupiter (June 9, 2026), drawn from the astronomical calendar. Not as causation, but as a simulation and timing marker. -
Select your Pictures card within the system.
What images - within the system - form connecting patterns; open a dialogue... -
What are you watching? Film/TV series, documentary and game.
From this point, the session proceeds as a structured address.
Meaning is not extracted but produced — across these systems — through a process of alignment, tension, and displacement. The individual is understood not as an origin point, but as positioned within circulating cultural forms.
In this way, systems become a cultural interface.
